Name.citizen
Name your citizen.
To assign names to our .citizen entities, the name.citizen protocol has been introduced. With the name.citizen protocol, users can create a placeholder username without requiring a domain. For instance:
Usernames in the format name.sats will display as username.sats.
Usernames using the name.citizen format will appear as just "name" (On any future .citizen interface/wallet/games etc.)
This naming format will be applicable across all .citizen ecosystems and future interfaces. Why not simply just use name.citizen and ditch #.citizen? The .citizen protocol aligns with the .bitmap protocol, and we have chosen to adhere to it. By doing so, .citizen entities can easily be shared and seamlessly integrated into all upcoming bitmap ecosystems. This decision ensures effortless implementation and widespread compatibility throughout the bitmap community.
